tech Directory Experts Conference, Day One
Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:06PM First let me talk about the sessions I didn't get to go to, but really wanted to:
[1] Ulf B. Simon-Weidner's talk on disaster recovery and object restores in 2008. Luckily he's presenting this in Orlando in June, so I can see it there.
[2] Gil's talk about AD administrators versus AD devs. Sorely missed.
Now for the preso's I was lucky enough to attend:
[1] Jorge de Almeida-Pinto's talk on RODCs. Kind of a "Part II" to his RODC talk last year, delved into significant detail on the deployment and management of RODCs. He's my hero for including slide notes in his deck, as I couldn't type fast enough to remember everything I wanted to.
[2] & [3] How MS IT does ADFS and How MS IT does W2K8, both from my best man. Even if he were not my best man, I wouldn't miss Brian Puhl's sessions at DEC/Tech Ed/etc. for all the tea in Ceylon. Always fun, always informative, I always walk away wishing I could've taped them.
[4] The Legend of joe (capitalization intentional) and Dean. Aside from being picked on in a few slides (which was actually extremely funny), another triumph from these two geniuses in the DS space.
Can't wait for the chalk-talk with Nathan and the rest of the DS group tomorrow, haven't decided what the rest of my agenda will look like yet.
